Toronto, Canada!

Cold outside!
Greetings from Canada!!!
November found me in North America, Toronto to be exact....it was a busy city with alot going on, and very, very cold..
I was staying with Tracy and she whisked me off to a Blythe Meet for the collectors in that area! It was so exciting meeting many new people and dolls alike!
Coco Moon Mini Meet
Shortly after the meet after checking out the fashions of Canada....much to my surprise and for the very first time in my life, I encountered SNOW!!
Weeee
Thankfully Tracy had all the right gear and a fabulous coat made by a local designer named Heidi. The faux fur was amazing and such warm wool....it made the very cold snow so much more tolerable.
Fashion Tip for Canada: Have a great winter coat!!
Later I was taken to the wonderful atelier of Parvati and Tracy....they showed me all their wonderful fabrics and trims, and I was fitted for a new dress that will be awaiting my return to Tokyo!
Have some tea and cookies
Parvati really had good taste and was a lovely host..
Parvati brings out the big guns
I cannot wait to see the end result in Tokyo!!
The end result
Thank you Tracy for the wonderful job you did as host.....now I must hurry off to my next Destination!!
New York City!

More of Shizuoka and Halloween in Japan!

Hello Friends!
It has been a long while since my last update! There has been so much going on I have hardly had any time at all to update on all the wonderful things I have seen since my last post.
Continuing on my stay in Shizuoka, I was able to see many wonderful local delights. Persimmons were ripe in the trees as autumn was setting in:

I went to see rice fields, green tea and other delights that Shizuoka has to offer! We even went to the beautiful Kakegawa Castle!
025
For Halloween Lisa took me back to Tokyo! We went to visit my friends at Junie Moon and participate with the Me and My Blythe photo shoot that was taking place. People came dressed in all sorts of costumes for the event, with their Blythe's as well, all in costume.
At Junie Moon
Before I readied myself to leave for Canada, Lisa arranged a fantastic party in Tokyo to meet other Blythe collectors and some of my future hosts! Mr. Matin came, and also Mr. Anai. Many other fans from Japan also came to meet me. We all talked about fashion, customizing fashions, clothing designers from around the world..it was all really very exciting!

Traditional Japan: Coco Moon in Shizuoka

Arrival
Welcome!
I arrived to Kakegawa to find Runaway Rosie waiting for me...what a wonderful welcome!

She immediately took me to see some of the local handcraft that is prevalent here in the Shizuoka prefecture.
Just as she we were heading out of the station,We noticed a shop selling local crafts and decided to have a look. While I enjoy the modern street punk and lolita fashions of places like Harajuku in Tokyo,I also feels that its important for young Japanese to remember and respect their old traditions too.
This gentleman is Mr.Hanamori.He is carving geta-traditional Japanese wooden sandals, worn with kimono. This style is called Suruga nuri.Suruga is another name for the Shizuoka area around the coast of Suruga Bay,which leads to the Pacific Ocean.

This colour navy is called 紺(kon)in Japanese and its a very traditional colour dye.I think it goes very well with wood colours, and the splash of red is really cute.
Mr.Hanamori and Coco Moon
Thank you very much Mr.Hanamori for letting us take pictures of you and your work.

I arrived to Kakegawa on a rainy, stormy day....Rosie tells me that Amelie has tea waiting for us...lets not keep Amelie waiting any longer!!(Besides, I hear that Kakegawa is famous for its tea!)

What is Blythe World Tour? Blythe World Tour とは?

So there are alot of questions out there about Blythe World Tour, Who organizes it, and so on.
This is the 3rd year Blythe World Tour has been organized and it is a cooperative effort between Blythe fans around the world and CWC. The tour usually has a theme, and Blythe travels, staying with various hosts who volunteer to photograph, host, ship and create a gift for the touring doll at their own expense. At the end of the tour there traditionally is an exhibit in Tokyo organized by CWC/Junie Moon displaying all the gifts she collected along her way. This year her gifts will be auctioned for charity after the show.
The first year it was 'Princess Journey' and organized only inside Japan.
The second year was 'Lady Emerald's world tour' and Blythe traveled internationally through Asia, Europe and North America.

This year we have 'Blythe: Fashion Obsessed!' as Blythe travels the world seeking fashion ,design and trands for her around the world. Please feel free to follow along as she stops in fashionable destinations in Europe, North America, South America, Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong and Japan. Along the way she will be staying with some of Blythe Fashion's top names in design and customization, and seeing some beautiful landscapes and hopefully even attending some international dolly events!

Blythe World Tour
